Hello,

My name is Joe Tulip and I work for a company called St Pancras Clinical Research, based in central London by the Barbican. We carry out clinical trials at our clinic at the Barbican in central London, testing new and exciting treatments for conditions with an unmet medical need. One of our therapeutic areas of expertise is chronic pain, and we are currently running two exciting studies that are investigating new treatments for diabetic neuropathy, which we feel may be of interest to the members of this online community.

Diabetic neuropathy is incredibly common, although the prevalence varies widely in the literature, but it is known to increase with both age and duration of diabetes. It can be a devastating condition and a lot of sufferers do not experience pain relief from current medications and treatment options. People may not know that there are research opportunities available to them, so if you are on of the people who have exhausted all of the available options on the NHS, it would be great to hear from you.

Taking part in a clinical trial gives you access to potential new treatments that are aiming to make a significant difference to the impact of the pain you are experiencing. We are well aware participating in research can be a bit daunting and it’s really important to give everyone a chance to be able to ask any questions they might have and get clarity about what it actually means to participate.

For more information and to find out if you may be eligible to take part, please send me an email (address below) or feel free to give the clinic a call on 0203 865 1142 and ask to speak to me.

I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope that you all stay safe and healthy during these difficult times.
