Do you have any experience or information regarding myo-inositol & D-chiro-inositol?

I've started a course of supplements containing myo-inositol/D-chiro-inositol (used to be called Vitamin B8) to try and deal with my PCOS - specifically the hairy chin that has been bothering me for decades and I wanted to see if I could finally sort that out.
There are various articles etc about how it also impacts blood sugar levels and blood pressure etc etc but I just wondered if anyone here had tried these and had any wisdom to impart.
I am proceeding with caution because I remember using lavender oil to deal with stress about ten years ago and everything saying it was safe to do so - and then I gave myself oestrogen dominance and I'm still dealing with the results of that.

Sorry - only thing I've ever heard of someone with PCOS being treated with for it, is Metfartin.
