Contain carbs?
After a hypo last night i was eating some dry roasted nuts as i was hungry.
I woke on a 12.2 This may well have been another hypo in night, but aside from that..

are there carbs in nuts?

(Not sure if this should be in the food section, feel free to move)

hope this helps

Please Note: all carbohydrate values are approximateNuts (serving size 1/2 cup) Carbs (g)
Almonds, dried 9g
Brazil nuts 9g
Cashew nuts, dry roasted 22g
Hazelnuts (3oz) 5g
Peanuts, roasted (3oz) 10g
Pecans, dry roasted (1oz) 6g
Pistachio nuts, dry roasted 16g
Walnuts 8g

I eat dry roasted peanuts all the time - they are my snack of choice and stop me craving sweet things! They have 14.2g carbs per 100g according to my packet, but 100g is quite a lot to eat in one go, so you wouldn't be having much carb in a handful. They are also low GI because of the fat in them - which also happens to be the 'good' type of fat! Win win! :D

I think the best nuts are supposed to be walnuts. The only problem with nuts is that they are quite high calorie which can be a problem if you are trying to lose weight.

I'm guessing those are from an American site - I have no idea what a 'cup' is, much prefer the 100g measure for comparison.

from the list i putn up glad i dont like cashews

Darn, Dry roasted and cashews are my faves! :(
Not as much as i thought then.
