do i need to do anything different

i am feeling unwell and am full of cold i tested myself yesterday before brekfast and it was 10.3 not been high for a while. it was my last testing strip. im on 3 metformin a day , has it gone high as i am unwell (typical have my flu jab today )
do i need to do anything might try and see if i can get some strips from the chemist but true result are quite pricy to buy.
also finding it quite hard to swallow anything even my tablets were a struggle this morning

Keep drinking sugar free liquids. Do eat, but less if your appetite is reduced. Do take your tablets - ensure you are standing or sitting, and sometimes it's easier of you drink first, then take tablets, then wash them down with more water.

Also, you should have been advised about possible mild fever / increased temperature when you had your flu jab - it might be in a leaflet, if you were given one. But, basically, the advice is the same as for babies / children who have immunisations - take paracetamol or ibuprofen at recommended doses / intervals.

If you are concerned then phone GP surgery / out of hours GP service / NHS Direct 0845 4647 (as you're in England) etc / ask pharmacist etc.
