sometimes I am quite light headed even dizzy at times, is this to do with diabetes or is it something else.?

Do you check your blood sugars at the time, could be a sign of a hypo.

thanks but I have no way of checking as my GP said it wasnt necessary as the test they do every year are enough.........so how can I check my sugars?

You should speak to your Dr about your dizziness - there can be lots of courses. Some people find they get dizzy when the Blood sugars are high, others when they are low. Low Blood pressure can cause dizziness as can ear problems.

If you are getting them a lot you should certainly have a chat to your Dr.

Do you tend to find it happens at the same time each day?

For some reason I am often (when I've tested) quite low around 3hrs after breakfast (i.e. low 4's and very occasionally high 3's). It's not like I don't have a decent breakfast either!

Anyway, probably it is worth a quick chat with your GP if it happens frequently (might persuade him/her to give you some test strips!).

Andy 🙂

Good for him! I hope the appointment goes well and that they can get to the bottom of the problem 🙂
