Hi,
I am thinking of a Newcastle type diet to get rid of some (not excessive) excess fat from my midriff area
We got my wife a KitchenAid blender that she is dying to use
Are there and DIY Newcastle style 'shake' recipes around?
I did search online but it quickly got out of hand so thought I'd ask the horse's mouth
TIA
Leigh
(PS I didn't get my wife's present to make things for me, honest :D)

The reason why things like the Newcastle diet use commercially available shakes are because they're complete meal replacement packages. Having those ensures you have a full range of daily needs met whereas many of the recipes you find online for 200 cal shakes are not designed as meal replacement products but rather as low calorie meals - so you may end up missing out on vital nutrients if you whip up your own and don't take a multivitamin and mineral supplement.

Look at the Lean Team Diet thread on here as that has recipes for complete meal replacement soups.
