DIY looping and FreeStyle Libre 2+

I suppose I have to be careful in how I write this post. First thing to say is I'm not encouraging anyone to take up DIY looping, that is an obviously very personal choice. This post is more about questioning where the problems are with the Libre sensors and/or app as many people report various issues. I use LibreLink, and Trio (DIY app) to get data from my sensor which then loops with my Omnipod Dash. Often during the 15 days of sensor use the LibreLink app reports various types of failure, such as lose of connection, the same as many others also experience. However, the Trio app never loses connection. No need to rescan. But when I do the results are similar for both apps. So without the Trio DIY app I'd end up needing to scan sensors more frequently and perhaps seeking replacement too. This leads me to think the issue is not with the sensors themselves, but with the LibreLink app. Just sharing my thoughts, wondering is there anything that can be done to encourage Abbot to spend more resources/time on further developing the LibreLink app, so less time is wasted by users with the app performing as intended. Thanks for reading.

I agree in that my experience with the Libre 2/2+ sensors and reader suggest that many problems are with the app or the phone using the app as I have VERY few problems with sensors using the reader. I am not using a pump so can't comment about DIY looping but I do believe the phones and app are the weak link in the system and quite a few people using HCL with Omnipod 5 and Libre 2+ seem to have had enough issues with connection dropping out to have moved to an alternative CGM or pump and Abbotts poor history of dealing with OS updates makes you think that their app or ability to service it, is not what it should be.
