Hi everyone. I am only new to this forum but so far I have been given some good advice. I am going to a reunion in a few days time and with it being all blokes they are usually boozy affairs. My problem is I take Metformin 500 with breakfast and again at teatime. Should I miss the afternoon dose or both or not at all? Help.

Medication is the important stuff. If I where you I would have less beer & enjoy. Diet tonic water is good on a hot day. Good luck 🙂

Hi Strongbow, metformin is not the type of medication that has an immediate effect on you, it 'builds up' in your system before achieving its full effect after a week or two. Personally, I'd be inclined to just miss the evening dose, but I don't think it will make any difference either way.

Hope you enjoy the reunion! 🙂
