They are fairly quick. A bit of cheese would slow it down a bit

Are you wondering if they are any good for hypos.... 😉

Quite a bit of fat in a McVities - the cheaper ones are drier. I have McV's and they are just over 10g - have always found, provided I'm say high 4s or above before I have one, 1u deals with it absolutely AOK.

Hmm well that's not what's contributing to my higher bs at bedtime then x

Did you have your digestives with cheese that you fancied?

No i haven't had time today and didn't have one with tea as I thought it might be that that's leading to my higher bs at night but obviously not :( x

They are as quick as any other starchy carb for me, but not as quick as a hypo fix. I would expect it to raise my blood sugar faster than my bolus insulin would work, which is only a problem if I eat more than a couple.

So what are the likes of sausage rolls and scotch eggs etc (I feel so stupid) x

Ha, Kaylz, you've been at this game long enough now to know that the answer is going to be, It depends......:D
I personally find them quite easy to deal with, as the protein and fat slows down absorption of the carbs in the sausagemeat and in the pastry or breadcrumbs. But also it depends on the quality of the sausagemeat as to how much rusk there is in it, so if you haven't got the nutritional info handy it can be a bit of a guesstimate at first, til you've had your brand of choice a few times and get it worked out.

Well I was eyeing up some ones from I think it was Tesco under 20g carbs each if I remember rightly, really have a fancy for sausage rolls or scotch eggs haha 🙂 x

Oh well, go for it, then!

Will do even better to find out that the tesco finest scotch eggs are only 11g carbs each 🙂 I used to make my own so will have to get them done again 🙂 x

I can't help you there as I don't eat meat, whereas when it comes to biscuits I am very experienced😉
