The differences between women and men extend to how they view the effect diabetes has on their lives according to a recent WebMD survey* of adults living with Type 2 diabetes. The survey, conducted as part of a collaboration between Rite Aid and WebMD, reveals that women, more often than men, reported that diabetes had a greater negative impact on their emotional outlook as well as their compliance with diet and exercise recommendations. The survey also found that women were more open than men to receiving tools to help them manage their diabetes.

Women are more open then men full stop weather that be about diabetes or such like.It does not surprise me one bit that women are more emotional about either, but with regards to complying with diet and exercise that does surprise me as most women are very concious and would want to lose weight and follow a diet so thought they would take it in there stride

You ought to do a poll here Alan and see if you get the same results. Interesting that middle aged women were more receptive to using recipes and other tools to help in their management. You could always work it out in percentages if more men/women reply.
