I had my first meeting with my Dr yesterday since diagnosed Type2. My HbA1c is 68. So he tells me carbs turn to sugar (which I forgot), he spoke briefly about my diet. Chicken, fish, veg.
Is that all I can eat now, I am just at a loss as to what I can have.
I am not on any meds for my diabetes.

Please help.

Hello Scotia, welcome! The advice you've been given is better than I had, so that's a good start. I've found that weight loss has been a major factor in controlling my D - so can offer lots of tips on losing lbs if that's what you need. If you don't have that to contend with, you will have a bit more freedom. Let us know what you plan to tackle first - one step at a time will get you there!

Do you not like cellery 😱 Only kidding but doc has pointed you in the right direction. Low carb foods are best for you. Keep active & you will feel better.
