Just tested before having some lunch and I am 4.4. Before breakfast I was 7.3 and I ate 2 x slices of parma ham on wholemeal toast, tomatoes and cheese! I was expecting to be a lot higher??

Also noticed eyes get a bit blurry when I get quite low? Can anyone explain?

Donna 🙂

Not sure if this is fact or fiction, but if you are getting low blurry eyes MIGHT be warning you you MIGHT hypo? Not sure.

The breakfast sounds nice

Changes in vision are certainly one of the symptoms of a hypo. And blurriness can indicate high BGs too.

A consultant I used to see said that hypoglycaemia usually only affected the eyes at quite low levels (though I guess everyone is different). I used to know things were not right if small print became hard to read and started swimming about.

It wasn't that Norwegian brown cheese that tastes a bit like peanut butter was it? The fat could have delayed any peak.
If I get low below 5 during the day I get a bit light headed, but no effect on eyesight, but we are all different. At night I've woken up with incredible cold sweats when I'm below 4 (only happened a couple of times).

No, it was Edam, just checked again, now 3.9!

Will go and eat an apple!

Donna 🙂
