Bought myself a Green and Blacks 70% cocoa chocolate bar today for easter; summer; christmas; next Birthday - got to last 12 months... :D

Put it in the fridge so it was rock hard and difficult to chew - had 2 small squares and it was lovely - happy easter to me..😱

Hope you enjoy it Amanda 🙂

Was going to be all smug and say I haven't had any chocolate today ... Then I remembered there is chocolate on Jaffa cakes 🙄

Whoops!

I have almost on several occasions over the past few days succumbed to buying some Lindt Lindor chocolates. I have managed to resist, because I know I would eat them all at one sitting! 😱 It's about the only I can't eat in moderation!

If you feel like sharing they're my favourites ! :D

I was reasonably good today though - treated myself to one of the new KITKAT in dark chocolate and had 2 "fingers" of it. Yummy !!

I've got 27 of those in my fridge at the moment! 😱 Tescos were selling them for 9 for a ?1 🙂 They're actually not too bad, carbwise - less than 15g I think.

Oh dear, I missed that offer - probably a good thing though ! 😱

I have to admit to succumbing but I have had an exceptionally good day blood sugar wise since morning all 5.xmmol don't shoot me. That has included a small like Kinder egg sized one and a crunchy Kitkat. Not sure I'll do so well tonight have to wait and see but gym tomorrow.

Well I received my first Easter egg for years... And it's still sat on the mantle piece unopened.

Flo my daughter brought one each for me and Les, she decided to let us chose which one we want, either a twirl or a wispa, so we've decided we'd share.

Mind you saying that, it's likely that it will take us a rather long time to get through them

Humph!! (glowers enviously at Marc :D ) managed to test for + ketones after lunch today despite copious corrections after a modest lunch out where I even resisted a pud and went for cheese instead. Have now done a set change (no apparent probs) and am nicely back into single figures. The last reservoir I filled was the very end of a vial and I'm half wondering if the insulin might have been a bit past it :-/

Better luck (and perhaps a bit of choc) tomorrow I hope!

Because of being housebound at the moment, I've only had the opportunity to buy one egg (that I fancied, anyway) -- a Wispa one (?3) which I bought from Morrissons on Holy Monday, the day I bought the ingredients for my Coq Au Vin experiment (which worked brilliantly, but was rather rich; I may make it again for Christmas, probably not before). It lasted two days, then I ate it on Wednesday and Maundy Thursday.

I went to Tescos on Maunday Thursday (partly to help Wills buy a new sim-free phone for ?10), and their eggs were all for ridiculous prices; the Wispa one was ?6! 😱 What ever happened to "pile it high, sell it cheap"?

I had half a Lindt Easter egg [small] I would term it enjoying rather than succumbing !!:D

Nope, managed to resist the temptation by running for the hills away from all the shops, no hot cross buns this year either and that was a real sacrifice as I really love them.

Ooooh me too Alison. Haven't had one this year either but used to absolutely *love* them just toasted and smothered in melting butter. Mmmmmmmmm 😛
