Did You Know You Can Quote Selectively?

This may already be well known, but I'm guessing from the number of times I see a wall of text quoted, maybe not.

One of the nice features of the Xenforo software that this forum uses is selective quoting. When you want to respond to a particular part of a post, click & drag to select the text you want to quote. When you release the mouse button a "reply" box will appear. Click that & a new post window will open with just the highlighted text quoted. 😎

Well, I’d worked it out but I guess not everyone has, judging by the lengthy posts you see quoted sometimes, so worth a mention!

It even works on the iPad and once a bit of text is selected from a post you get a little “reply” button appear underneath the selected text to let you create a new post just quoting what is selected. Good stuff!

Oooh works on my Android phone also, fab! When I really wanted to just quote a bit of a post I was doing a lot of deleting
