Did you know that LibreLink has an Event Log?

Those users of the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus and 3 Plus sensors will quite probably be using an app called LibreLink on their iPhones or Android phones to visually monitor their 'blood glucose' levels over several hours..

Abbott's revised "my sensor has stopped working and please send me a replacement" webpage procedure has now been revised to suggest that people look in the LibreLink Event Log [a feature so beloved of Windows techies!] for the error code relating to the sensor failure.

Until now, I hadn't been aware that LibreLink had such a thing, but it is found from the three-bar menu at the top left [Android, at least], then scroll down to Help, select this, then scroll down to Event Log, select this - and wait several seconds for the messages (if any) to appear.

It is some time since I have had to report a faulty Libre sensor but I am sure they have always asked for this error code available form the event log. I am not sure how this has been updated recently.

Oh yes, so there is! (I just looked) I’ve only just started using my phone, there’s an event log on the Reader, which I’m familiar with, it’s usually full of codes.
The Event log on my phone is just full of 'Scan error' messages because for some reason, my phone does the first buzz, then does a long buzz to say 'try again' then does it fine (2 short buzzes) at the second attempt. Don’t know if this is my inaccuracy placing the phone, or what. (I'm still scanning, because I'm still starting the sensor with my reader, as I prefer the reader, but since my laptop died, I need the phone to upload the data to Libre Link)

On the very, very rare occasion I have had a faulty sensor and rang up the helpline they have asked me for the error code from the reader which is in the event log that you access through the setting cog by selecting System Status from the second page of the dropdown menu. I don't use my phone but would have been surprised if the app didn't have a similar feature.
