Did someone just tip a bottle of prog concentrate into our Eurovision entry?

What The Hell Just Happened by Remember Monday is a very interesting song. Me being an aging prog rock fan I find it to be very interesting. I'm left wondering how they've managed to cram so many key changes and tempo changes into a three minute song. At one point the time signature changes from 4/4 to 6/8 and back again, I'm only disappointed that there wasn't a bit in 7/4.

Lyrically it's about a girl waking up the morning after a really wild party. Great fun. Even if it doesn't win, at least we've got a really good song this year.

I haven't heard the song yet but I understand that one of the trio is a local girl from a performing arts college in nearby Bracknell.

Unfortunately the Eurovision Song Contest these days seems to me to be less about how good the song is and more about the light shows and dance routines, with a bit of politics thrown in when it comes to the voting. Despite that, we always watch it...!

I used to watch it as a kid but then ignored it for years until I met my wife who is a fan. I think that there is a lot more variety nowadays with all sorts of musical genres being represented. I quite like the folky stuff from Eastern Europe. We went to see it in Liverpool and yes, the staging is really spectacular.

Those girls are great singers, shame about song mind as its rubbish & stands no chance of winning.

Good grief, not for me.
I'm listening to some real Prog, the new Steven Wilson album (Which is fabulous).
Eurovision has always been dreadful.

All those countries with unique sounds and folk music traditions reduced to making dreadful pop that all sounds like it's been thrown together by old men in an office.

"...stands no chance of winning."

You are probably right although there are a lot more factors than just the quality of the song to be taken into account. I really like it and, in the unlikely event that it does win, I will be coming back here to rag you about it.
