I found those guidelines early on and if nothing else they tell you what your GP should be thinking. One place where they fall down is the instruction to "...reinforce advice about diet..." without, as far as I can recall, giving any guidance on what that diet should consist of. Little wonder that people get different advice from different HCP's.

I think some are quick to want to put people on medication, though over the last few years there seems to be a growing trend to try diet and lifestyle changes, and so called Education Courses.
Also Low Carb seems to be being promoted a bit more.

Welcome to the forum @Janwel

You‘ve had some great ideas and suggestions so far, and it’s great to hear your ‘can do’ attidptude, wanting to tackle this head-on.

Keep going! And keep asking questions 🙂
