Hi,

Does anyone use or recommend the above product which is being sold in Boots & Holland & Barrett as a nutritional supplement aimed especially at people with Diabetes. Is over ?10 for a month's supply so is a lot more expensive than a month's worth of multivatimins?

Thanks

Mick

You've had the same answer in two places now from different people Micky LOL

I'd be inclined to think the answer was correct ! 🙂

When I was first diagnosed I brought a box from Holland and Barrett; I thought yes they are specifically for thoese with diabetes - however, I then realised its just a con - multi-vitamins/cod-liver oil etc...are just as good and less expensive plus ensuring you eat your 5 a day. At over ?10 a box its an expensive mistake.... and one I won't be making again....🙂

My Consultant said keep away from it and when buying my normal vitamins in H&B I discussed it with the sales lady who whispered to me 'don't bother'😉

Or better still. Just your five a day and a well balanced diet (limiting carbs where you need to). Unless you have other specific needs identified by a your doctor, there shouldn't be a need for supplements if you're able to eat a range of foods from the different groups (carbs, fats, protein).🙂

It was the sales assistant who told me to buy them; can I ask what vitamins you take?
