David Brown refused to take a wheelchair for an answer after losing a leg to diabetes, and his electric scooter kept breaking down.
So the 68-year-old Sparta man went to his local bicycle shop, which found him an adult tricycle that has made him the talk of the town. Any town, wherever he rides ? whether it be Sparta, or Elroy, or parts in between on the famous bike trail, or La Crosse, where he often tools around Riverside Park.
People stop him to ask about the trike, and many do a double take when they realize that his right leg is artificial below the knee.
