A DIABETIC woman who has lost three stone in a year has spoken of her surprise after also being told she no longer needs to rely on insulin.
Sandra Hunter was diagnosed with diabetes 10 years ago and was told because she was on insulin she would never be able to lose weight.
Last year though the 47-year-old and husband Stuart decided to do something about her weight after reaching a 14 stone and three pounds.
She started dieting in May and then in August last year joined Slimming World in Eldene which helped her shed the weight in no time.
