A VALE teenager who was given the shock news that he had diabetes at the age of 10 will put on his running shoes to raise money for Diabetes UK.
Scott Southern, aged 15, discovered that he had insulin dependent Type 1 diabetes after feeling ill at a summer football camp.
Despite being diagnosed with the condition at a young age, Scott hasn?t let it hold him back and on Saturday, March 31, he plans to take part in the Hampton Ferry Charity 5km Run
