Diabetes writes the rule book

It’s a thing that you must follow

Ignore diabetic choices

You’ll be feeling lost and hollow

It isn’t just the sugar

It’s the carbs you have as well

If you over fill on both of these

Your body soon can tell

Keep an eye on levels

Watch all that you do

The rules are there to help each day

And yes, they’re there for you

Embrace diabetic choices

In this carbs and sugar fight

Don’t try to go your own way

You’ll feel despair and not delight

Let’s not ignore the rule book

Come on ladies and gents

We know that we can do this

You know that it makes sense
