How often do most of you have your diabetic reviews? Does anyone have them yearly?

Hi Sebstar I have mine yearly, how come your asking? are you due one soon.

Every 6 months, unless I am having bother with BGs and/or am trying something new which would need assistance from the consultant, in that case every 3 months would be the case............

I also visit the nurse casually if I need any help or like most recently want a fancy new blood meter.............:D

I have a yearly one with my GP and 6 monthly with my consultant - last couple of years I saw my consultant on a much regular basis, every 4 weeks, then 8 and then 12 before being put on 6 monthly.

I'm seeing my consultant every 6 months 🙂 I don't really like the idea of having them only once a year.

Every 6months with the consultant, and yearly with the gp nurse.

Once a year - and that's quite, enough, thank you, although I get my eyes checked at opticians as well as getting digital retinal photography at hospital clinic. Occasionally get extra HbA1c done if helping with research project, though. I can always email / phone is I need to ask DSN / consultant something.

I've been on annual reviews for years. Currently 14 months and no sign of a letter yet...

Yes Mike, I was going to say 12 months at GP but 'at will' at the hosp (and currently texting DSN all the while re pump LOL) however someone who is in high places actually said the standard round these parts for GP ones is now 15 months. So they expect all the T2's to just have an A1c every 15 months do they? And maintain a result of 6.5? come off it, NHS ......

I have one every 6 months at hospital but i also see gp twice a week to pick up insulin. My hospital clinic also has everyday between 9-10 an open clinic where you can just turn up and see dsn

Thanks folks. The reason I am asking is that I can't remember what the nurse said last time I was there in December and was expecting a letter to ask me to go for blood test and make an appointment with nurse at the beginning of June but up to now no letter. At the back of my mind I'm thinking she might have said a year and wondered if anyone else went yearly.

At the moment, because I've been so unstable, I'm getting mine quarterly.
