Annual diabetic review at the hospital this morning. Hopefully won't be any surprises because I've had all of my blood test results. But I do get to meet my new consultant which will be interesting - I had the last one from when I moved to the adult clinic until he retired this year.

Hope everything goes well Amanda, and that the new consultant is a good 'un! 🙂

hope all goes well at the clinic and the new consultant is good withthe added bonus of being young and dishy, well a girl can dream...

Good luck with your review this morning Amanda & hope your new consultant is a good one 🙂

Hope the review goes/has gone well and your consultant is good. 🙂

Thanks everyone. I think I confused the consultant with how I use my pump in relation to the gastroparesis! The appointment went smoothly I didn't learn anything new. Twice she commented on how well I'm doing and she didn't want to change anything. I'm to go back in a year.

The only disappointing thing was that she doesn't know a diabetes specialist who specialise in gastroparesis. She wants me to see a gastroenterologist who specialises in gastroparesis and I was a bit negative about this, probably because I know what my treatment options are if the current treatment stops being effective.

Glad to hear the review went well and that you are doing great. Sorry to hear they don't know of a diabetes specialist who knows their stuff about gastroparesis though.

Hopefully she will realise there's a gap in her knowledge and she can look up a specialist for future reference. Otherwise glad to hear things went well 🙂
