Does anyone on here delay having their diabetic reviews. I should be making an appointment for my blood tests but am putting it off I have been on a couple of holidays since my last review in December and feel that I have not been as 'good' as I usually am. I keep saying to myself I'll make the appointment tomorrow but then keep putting it off. I really dread them.

Hi sebstar.

I dare most of us have done this, or thought of doing it.🙂

Not recommended, since you may never feel you've been good enough to get a glowing report and may develop problems while waiting to come up to scratch.

The review shouldn't be about how good you've been (although it often feels that way) but more about how you're managing diabetes. If you're finding it difficult on holidays, maybe that's something you can raise with your team and find a workaround, or they may not be that bothered.

I would go for it as soon as you can, so that any problems you have can be discussed instead of hiding from the reality and trying to give them a false impression. I speak from many years of experience of doing this.

I'd bite the bullet and make the appointment, usually the ones I dread most are the ones that have the best results!

Best of luck 🙂

Yep, Nathan is going through a phase of this at the moment, although the DSN decided to throw a suprise on him ... she turned up at our home, armed with Hb Machine .... Nathan is just 16, type 1, and trying to manipulate boring appointments ... However the appointments are needed.

Go for it, good look, you might be suprised with the results 🙂

Go on Seb make that appointment, go on go on go on go on go on go on (for all those Father Ted fans out there).

And tell us when you've made the appointment or I'll set Steff on you 😛
