I went for my diabetic review

I thought I'd been quite good

Watching all I'm having

Doing all I should



Walking in, a face like thunder

Greeted me at the door

Proceeded to tear me off a strip

And said "You should do more"



Exercise and diet plan

You need to take some care

The diabetic nurse just moaned again

It really wasn't fair



Support is what we're needing

A guide to steer the way

Criticism hits self esteem

And flattens out our day



We need your help not anger

And want to win the fight

Be calm, make us courageous

To beat it day and night
