I noticed that a couple of people on here have struggled to secure life insurance / critical illness cover. I had the same issue recently and came across this company. Explained everything to me in simple terms and secured a policy for me. May be of use to others: 🙂

I don't have problems getting it, I just have a problem with the long list of exclussions that come with it. Seems like they would blame the fact you were diabetic even if you were shot in the head by roger rabbit!

I think what gets me is that being a well-controlled diabetic probably makes me much healthier than many of my non-diabetic peers, because I know about the importance of looking after myself and understand a great deal more about how my body works - not to mention the fact that I get regular, comprehensive monitoring which would catch most things long before Joe Public who sees a doctor only when he's spent two years worrying about something! 🙂
 
Hi all .sorry to say I have struggled massively to get insurance as I have had type 1 for 36 years I was born with it and had a fair shre if problems along the way .But it is true if you have had even a slight complication they don't want to know so if anyone does Ave a company they do use for diabetics please can I have it .
