One Mortlake man raised more than ?1,500 for Diabetes UK after wanting to prove to himself and others that having diabetes does not stop you achieving your goals.
Sebastian Clark, 34, of Second Avenue, Mortlake, was diagnosed with type one diabetes, a condition where insulin-producing cells in the pancreas are destroyed and insulin needs to be injected directly into the body to survive, at the age of 20.
He said: ??It was an enormous life-change for me whilst I was at university, but twelve years on I am managing well.
