Can anyone recommend any good shoes/socks for people working on their feet? I'm hoping to be accepted onto a course starting in September and I thought it might be a good idea to get some good quality work shoes.

I've seen the Crocs Silver Clouds, but any other suggestions would be great 🙂

I always go to a firm called cosy feet (www.cosyfeet.com). The shoes are expensive, but there is VAT relief if you are diabetic and they last me for ages. They do socks too.

I'm not sure what I'll be allowed yet, my interview is Monday, I'll be asking then. I'm guessing black closed toe, flat, comfy.

Found some fab ones on Clarks, but they're leopard print :D

When I started a part-lab-based job last summer, with no uniform, but dress code and safety rules, I went looking for suitable footwear, wanting completely closed toe, leather, wearable without socks, suitable for cycling, low heel. I found a nice pair of natural colour, leather shoes with heel straps, from Clarks - prefer to try on shoes to ensure good fit. These have proved idea for hot weather. I have often darkened leather or suede shoes with dye where I could find suitable model in an unsuitable colour. But always worth getting restrictions from official source before buying anything.
