Welcome to the forum, it is a pity that you haven't been able to find a dietary approach which suits you as even with metformin which is what the medication is it still need dietary changes, it is no good taking medication to reduce blood glucose at the same time as eating foods which will increase it. The only way to stop an overflowing sink is to turn the tap off.
Have a look at this link as the menu plans may give you some ideas for making those needed changes and make you realise there is still a way to have tasty filling meals without all those carb heavy foods.

Hi @RustyCat77 and welcome to the forum!

Do you mind me asking what your latest hba1c was? I know it can be very difficult changing foods and habits, especially when it's something you have been used to your whole life. Depending on where you live, access to more varied food sources can be difficult too. However if you would decide to try something different, there's some great stories on the forum from our users, as well as continuous advice and support :star: Some have found that making small changes, turning that into the new 'norm' and then changing something else has helped them in the long run, but all of that is very individual.

Feel free to share where you're comfortable, ask questions and use the forum however you find it useful!
