Hello all,
My name is Munna and am a HCP interested in getting to know the latest in management of diabetes.The cornerstone is nutrition and i would like to know more on how to educate my patients from different cultural backgrounds in making good food choices or to adapt their cuisine.
Diabetes is now an epidemic and good its a Public Health matter --we need to use all sources to disseminate what it is -how to prevent it and encourage general well being .

The book or app Carbs and Cals now has a version covering the carb values of ethnic foods which would be a good resource.
Pointing them in the direction of this forum as there are lots of links that people post with various meal plans to suit various tastes or can be adapted.

So Type 2 diabetes? Type 1s can eat a basically normal diet 🙂 You could advise them to join Diabetes U.K. and this forum. Diabetes U.K. also has helpful webpages with information and a section with carb-counted recipes and meal plans:
