Hello @Krazykaz26 ,

Welcome to the forum. what was your HbA1c when you were diagnosed? Have you seen your health care team since being diagnosed?

I don't know anything about my diagnosis apart from being told I was at 48 which is borderline diabetic, I have seen my diabetes nurse at my surgery and I go back in July, I intend to have lost alot of weight by then

As your nurse said you are only on the first rung of the ladder that gives you a diabetes diagnosis over 47 mmol/mol as that is the threshold.
Some modest changes to your diet should be sufficient to bring you back down. Losing weight will also help with that.
This link may help you with some ideas for modifying your diet, it is a low carb approach which many find successful in both losing weight and reducing blood glucose. Low carb is suggested as being no more than 130g per day Total carb not just sugar. It does not mean NO carb.
Increasing exercise will also help if you can, brisk walking is good exercise it doesn't need to be going to the gym unless that is your thing.
You should also have eye retinal screening and foot checks once diagnosed. You should have another HbA1C test before your appointment if not before to make sure you are on the right track with your dietary changes.

Thanks for the info, I can't exercise as I have fibromyalgia and heart failure but I go to slimming world and I have lost 1st so far, quite a few people at my class have reversed their diabetes just following the plan so hopefully I can do it too
