Just got my message from Ciara at Diabetes UK about Diabetes Week ...
'Diabetes doesn't stop, but neither do you............. you’re juggling the ups and downs, facing diabetes head on and not letting it hold you back.
Morning blood sugar. Counting carbs. HbA1c. Blood pressure. It can feel relentless.'
Yes a lifetime of control is relentless, with no 'remission' for good behaviour.
Anyone doing anything for Diabetes Week this year. My first summer 32 years ago I was out on Market Day with a collecting tin and little stickers on a Flag Day. Another year I was on a Charity Market Stall - one garment for 50p, three for £1. We made a tidy sum on kids' second hand clothes.
