Diabetes UK have launched two new information packs to help improve support for school children with medical conditions in schools across Greater Manchester.
The packs – one for schools and for parents – have been produced following a change in the law that means schools in England are now legally obliged to provide the best support possible for children with conditions including, Type 1 diabetes, epilepsy and asthma.
The law is set to come into effect in September and schools across Greater Manchester will have to ensure they have individual healthcare plans and medical policies in place.
