Diabetes is one of the greatest health threats of the 21st century ? and it is on the increase.
There are more than 14,000 people diagnosed with it in Medway and doctors believe there could be many more unaware they have the condition. They are urging people to check whether they are at risk as part of national Diabetes Week, which started on Sunday (9 June) and runs to Saturday. If they are, they should contact their GP practice for a blood test.
