Diabetes UK incorporation document

Morning all,

I noticed companies house posted a blog about diabetes yesterday.

Personally I didn't find it worth the read, however it does mention that Diabetes UK when first registered with companies house in 1938 as the The British Diabetic Association, and that the incorporation document is still on there with the signatures of H G Wells, and Dr R D Lawrence.

Under filling filter by incorporation, you want the document 'incorporation' dated 11th April 1938.

I like things like this, documents of history, scanned onto the web forever 🙂

Indeed, a historic document for all of us, and with two such illustrious founders 🙂 If you don't know much about Dr R D Lawrence I would urge you to read 'Diabetes, Insulin and the Life of R D Lawrence' - he really did lead a remarkable life (he was Type 1, Wells was Type 2)
