It’s Viva Las Vegas for Eddlewood grandpa Brian Thomson who will celebrate his 50th birthday raising cash for charity.
Brian, who has raised thousands of pounds for good causes, is back this year with a new challenge.
This October he will take on the Grand Canyon, descending 3100ft and trekking along trails to the Havasupai Indian Reserve before making his way back up and out.
Brian has already climbed Ben Nevis, Mount Kilimanjaro and trekked the West Highland Way and The Great Wall of China in aid of Kidney Research UK.

Always makes me think when I see the word 'grandad' used for someone, as it makes you think of someone elderly - but I'm six years older than this bloke! 😱
