Hi there, are all of the above one organisation ? I think so but unsure..... All good. Just curious..

It is confusing, but Diabetes U.K. and Diabetes.org are this website and forum, ie the charity.
Diabetes.co.uk. is a commercial organisation, and completely unrelated.
Aha! Thanks Robin.

^^This!

Always look for the blue Diabetes U.K. logo to confirm you’re on the genuine charity and genuine forum and are buying genuine books and products @Jennyninja @Ali11782

Diabetes.co.uk is a business that originated when the founded discovered that a low carb diet helped manage his father's type 2 diabetes.
So, it is focused on low carb which some people find incredibly useful but is often pushed as the only way.

Diabetes UK (the blue .org.uk) is the UK’s leading diabetes charity. They see it as their job to tackle the diabetes crisis: to prevent Type 2 diabetes, campaign for and support everyone affected by diabetes, and fund research that will one day lead us to a cure.

Thanks @helli

Yes it’s unfortunate that the diabetes.co.uk website heads so many of its pages with ‘Diabetes UK’, when that is the name of the national diabetes charity (to which they are not related).

I guess it’s just search engine optimisation stuff for people looking for diabetes related content in the UK, but it creates a lot of confusion.

We sometimes have people who have registered on the ’red’ forum contacting us asking why their account details are not recognised on our forum.

Thanks for clearing that up. Glad I found this one first

They (co.uk) deliberately used the charity's logo too, to begin with. Hardly any wonder that folk got confused.
