I've just noticed at the back of my Dr Ragnar Hanas Bible ... He recommends .. This book:

Diabetes - the ' at your fingertips' guide
Fifth Edition
By Professor Peter Sonksen, Dr Charles Fox and Sue Judd

It is also highly recommended by Sir Steve Redgrave

Yay! Dr Charles Fox is my friendly neighbourhood diabetes consultant! But yes, it was one of the first books i read, i got it out of the library when i was first diagnosed. There's a type 1 and a type 2 edition and it's in a sort of question and answer format. You can buy either via diabetes uk. I think our local branch has signed copies....
