Diabetes technology

Hi everyone, we are working for a school project for an MIT competition and we have decided to focus on Diabetics, both Type 1 & 2, we are looking at what technology diabetics would use to help them deal with their disease. It would be really helpful for us if we would be allowed to post a poll on the forums.

Done

I couldn't do it as I don't use Apps, seldom record my food, and only use a book to tell me the carb value when I don't otherwise know them. As they are restricting it to branded food, I don't think it would help me.

Similar to TW above. I started but could not finish as too many questions requiring an answer did not have appropriate answers. Not everyone uses apps, or even has a smart phone.
Some answers too vague - how often is often / not often? How far ahead do you mean when you ask if I plan ahead?

Done it, but based it on an app I used to use. Don't need to use it now, but if things went awry in the future, my need to go back to it.

Couldn't finish as don't use an app to log my meals - I do it manually. Also, as others have said, some answers are vague.

Hiya
I couldn't complete it either, I don't log food, I don't because I've never found anything easy enough to use. I do use apps all the time but seriously they're just hideously fiddly and for me logging food wouldn't add enough benefit to be bothered. So I tried, but the survey doesn't let me express that sentiment so I thought I'd put it here in case that's any use to your research. Best of luck 🙂

Don't use apps either. Spreadsheets all the way for me. I'm also a windows phone weirdo.

Dear all,
thank you for those who have completed the survey, to those who have had issues completing it, I have adjusted the questions to allow for that option, and tried to make them less vague. It would really mean a lot if you could quickly take another look.
Thanks a lot,
Alex and the Vital Team

I've done it now Alex, best of luck with it 🙂

I was going to leave it as well, but have now done it, although I had to put irrelevant answers to the two questions about apps and prices as there was no option for 'none'.

I have answered the best I can but one or two answers may seem contradictory. I do not bother with recording my meals although the app I use has the facility but it is a bit fiddly.
