What on earth is all this about? She's 'Type 1 and Type 2' but went off insulin for a year? Needed 70 units of insulin? Some of our members have three times that amount! Sounds like gestational diabetes that resulted in Type 2 to me, and she hardly got away with stopping her insulin for a year if it resulted in kidney damage :( What a confused article! 🙄

Doctors have called her a ?one in a million? case but Jessica Kauhega says she just feels lucky to be alive.
The 23-year-old diabetic?s life was turned upside down when she stopped responding to insulin and developed type one and type two diabetes.
?They first discovered I was diabetic when I was pregnant with my daughter, Ava,? she says.
?It turns out I?d had diabetes all my life without knowing.?
