A CAMPAIGNING peer support group for young people with diabetes in the North-East has been launched by the president of a national charity.
Richard Lane, of Diabetes UK, was in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, on Saturday, and the new group is being organised by 21-year old Chloe Brown who has Type 1 diabetes.
Around 19 young people meet once a month in the One Point Hub, Burns Green, Chester-le-Street to share information about diabetes and offer each other emotional support and advice.
