The number of people with diabetes in Jersey has more than doubled in the past decade.
Doctors have put the rise down to islanders eating too much junk food and not doing enough exercise - which are the main causes of type 2 diabetes.
10-years-ago, back in 2003 there were 2,000 diabetes patients in the island.
Today that figure has doubled to 4,000.
And it's been revealed that in the past two years, 14 of those patients have had either toe or leg amputations due to complications from the disease. That's 5 times fewer than the equivalent population in Britain.
Doctors are now warning islanders about those potential consequences.
