BLURRED vision was one of the last signs that Salim Piperdy's body was about to shut down and he was just hours away from organ failure.
The Barton-based limousine driver had led a normal healthy life before that day in February 2012.

He was teetotal, a regular gym-goer, keen footballer and had almost jettisoned his traditional Indian diet favoured by his family.
To say it was a shock for Sal to be struck down with diabetes is an understatement.

"He was first diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. A year later, he has been told he has Type 2 diabetes that can be controlled by diet and glucose and metformin tablets, rather than insulin injections."

Eh???🙄 What an absolute load of rubbish this report is! 😱

He had that sort of diabetes that sucks all the sugar and all the insulin out of your body. I know this cos the version of the article I read, said so.

However .... let's face it, if it helps get across to the Asian community that you aren't immune whatever you do, and there's no shame in it and you need to DO something - then so be it .....
