On April 14, Katrina Ivatt was supposed marry the man she loved.
Instead, she will be hosting a walk and run in memory of her former fiance, Mike Roberts.
Roberts died last August after suffering a heart attack while he was diving in Alexandria Bay.
He was only 39 years old.
Ivatt chose to hold the fundraiser in support of children living with diabetes, knowing it?s something Roberts would have entirely supported.
And while it?s difficult to turn what should have been the happiest day of her life into a memorial fundraiser, Ivatt says it?s worth the pain.
