A GREATER number of diabetes patients have suffered foot amputations, new figures show.
The figures released by Public Health England show that 124 people had diabetes-related amputations in Oxfordshire between 2010 and 2013.
This was an increase of four per cent on amputations carried out between 2007 and 2010.
Sufferers of diabetes are at greater risk of foot-related diseases due to insufficient blood supply and nerve damage.
