Diabetes slot on ITV in the next hour. Not sure if its type 1 or type 2.🙂Bev

Shame I am at work, I shall miss it and hubby has to do school run with little feller so they wont see it either.

Hmm...naughty Doctor Hilary! He said that 'as long as your blood sugar is below 10 it's OK' (the chap was 7.9, although we don't know when he last ate.) A bit misleading, as you wouldn't really want a fasting level hovering just below 10.

dam thats a shame missed it then

Caroline - you didnt miss much! It was about type 2 and only lasted about 3 minutes.🙂Bev

oh well if it was only about type 2

What I meant was that it wasnt a fully rounded slot about diabetes in general - just the usual stuff about being overweight etc - no mention of the fact that slim people can get type 2! Is that any clearer Stan?😉🙂Ben

As crystal Betty.

I think they have such short time slots they don't have too much time for specifics, which is frustrating and misleading. Good job I did miss it then. Maybe not, I am at work...

I didnt see the bit on the diabetes, but yesterday they were doing blood pressure and Dr Hillary said something very naughty there as well- I am thinking the man has spent far too long in sequins prancing on ice??! 🙂

Really, why dont they get specialist advisors like a blimming decent DSN on the TV when they do these things??

Yep after all he is only an expert on dancing on ice and even he is bad at that.

Yes i saw GMTV this morning too briefley about the chap who has diabetes and that Dr Hilary said as long as it's below 10 which made my ears prick up! I thought 7.9 was a little bit high myself but we don't know if that was a fasting level or whether it was after he'd eaten breakfast. The good point which Doc Hilary said was that it's important that you are made aware of the fact if you are diabetic if you are.
