Diabetes monitor to send text alerts

Healthcare professionals could soon receive texts warning them that a diabetes patient is suffering dangerously low blood sugar levels. Scientists from Swansea University have been working with technology companies to develop a new hi-tech diabetes monitor.

Lets just hope the health care professional is not sunning themself somewhere abroad at the time there patient is going low 🙂

Cant they do one as well for when i patient is going high or is that just not as serious as going low?

I can't see GPs being too impressed at a txt every time one of their patients has a hypo. Would be better to dial 999 I would have thought (or a nominated person who can get to them).🙂
