PEOPLE with type 1 diabetes have the opportunity to learn more about their condition and how to manage it in a new national programme delivered locally by South Essex Partnership University NHS Trust.
The DAFNE programme provides people with the skills necessary to estimate the carbohydrate in each meal and to inject the right dose of insulin.
