Hello all...
One for the blokes... it's a bit of a non talked about subject but it's one that's affecting me. I understand why us males may not talk about it but just want to see if anyone has had the same problem (???).
I'm an IDD and have been for 24 Yrs...good health, HB's less than 8, Gym once a week, better than avg diet.
I'm fully aware of all the things that could happen to things like circulation, heart, eyes .... and the list goes on....but i never (until recently) thought fertility would be one of them. Being married my wife and I are onto the next step and trying to concieve. We have been trying for a year and a half with no result (sticking to GPs advice/timings). From this we thought it best to speak to the GP around 2 Mths ago. We were both sent for tests at the local hopsital. She is 34 and I 30, although her age could be a factor results were fine. I was reported with bad
morphology which finding out have been sent for another test, awaiting results but i'm sure it'll be the same.
I've read online that it's common in diabetics and higher sugars are the problem and hinder repair, hence meticulous control. My reported control is "excellent" which is a concern as if it was bad i could do something about it.
Basically this is really on my mind now and something us blokes take for granted could be affected by my diabetes.
So anyone have any advice from similar experience?
Many thanks.
